THE ASK
Sol Republic needed a versatile audio cable for both professional DJs and everyday users. The goal: eliminate the hassle of multiple connectors with one cable compatible with pro DJ gear, standard audio equipment, and phones. DJs, whether spinning in a packed club or enjoying inflight entertainment, required seamless access to both 1/4" and 1/8" connectors. @Upwell Design

As an independent contractor, I spearheaded the conceptualization and design of the product. I explored multiple concepts, prioritizing functionality and versatility, and oversaw the project from early ideation through the completion of final CAD design-intent deliverables and high-fidelity product renderings.

I drew inspiration from the Sol Tracks headphones, modern turntables, and refined bike components.
